We wish that Disney would make a Mickey Mouse and Star Wars mashup after Walt Disney Company acquired the rights to the popular franchise from Lucas Film for $4 billion in 2012.
Costume SuperCentre pulled an April’s Fool joke on everyone where it claimed that our favourite mouse would make his debut as part of the Star Wars franchise in an original story cleverly called The Mouse Awakens in 2017. We wish this prank was true because we love how the classic characters look in this fictional crossover with Star Wars.
Mickey Mouse isn’t the only classic character to star in this imaginary crossover movie, with Mickey’s main squeeze Minnie Mouse and his other pals, Pluto, Donold Duck, Goofy and Pete joining him.
If The Mouse Awakens was to be made, Mickey Mouse would portray the iconic role of Han Solo, with long-time girlfriend Minnie Mouse portraying the role of Princess Leia Organa. In the picture below you can even see Minnie rocking one of Leia’s most iconic outfits from the original trilogy where she wears her hair in the legendary “Princess Leia Buns” style. As Pluto is Mickey Mouse’s best friend and Chewbacca is Han Solo’s best friend, it only made sense for Pluto to portray the role of Chewie.
Donald Duck and Daisy Duck would portray Finn and Rey – characters from the new franchise, with Daisy Duck mimicking Daisy Ridley’s look as Rey in The Force Awakens perfectly.
Pete was made to star in the role of new Sith Lord, Kylo Ren.
