There is a new Spanish-made smart mattress named the Durmet Smarttress that lets you know when it’s being used.
If your partner isn’t faithful, at least your mattress is
The smart mattress is connected to an app on your smartphone which receives a notification when it senses that it is being used, which could help you catch a cheating partner or a very intrusive cleaner.
The Durmet Smarttress has a so-called Lover Detection System which has 24 hidden ultrasonic sensors built into the mattress’s springs. These sensors detect when the smart mattress is being used and then send an ultrasonic wave to the app to alert you that your mattress is being used. You’ll get movement data on your smartphone from the Durmet Smarttress like duration, intensity and impact per minute.
The Durmet Smarttress is currently only available in Spain for $1 750 per mattress. The company currently consists of 10 employees who manufacture an average of 70 of these smart mattresses a day, with the company hoping to expand world-wide in the future.
