Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was revealed last week in an extremely flashy and over the top reveal trailer. The trailer showed off some pretty futuristic settings with spaceships and all sort of future tech. As great as the trailer was, fans of the series seemed to really hate it by expressing their views using YouTube’s dislike/like option on the trailer.

Currently the video has 17 million views, it is sitting on 1.6 million dislikes with a measly 300,000 likes. Clearly there are some really unhappy people out there who are probably long-standing fans of the series who are not impressed by the direction it is going in. Activision CEO, Eric Hirshberg responded to the negative criticism by defending the trailer and saying that Call of Duty: Black Ops II was also subject to a similar situation, however it turned out to be one of the most successful entries in the franchise.

We then have a look at Battlefield 1 which was revealed just a few days after Call of Duty. The trailer is sitting on 24 million views, with 1.2 million likes and just over 20,000 dislikes. Say what you want, but that is a sure sign of an unhappy versus happy community.

Both Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Battlefield 1 are due for release later this year n PS4, Xbox One and PC
