Durex, the condom company, released findings of a study it conducted amongst 2 000 adults. The study suggests that 52% of couples expect to have better sex during a summer vacation. Unfortunately 60% of the participants revealed that their expectations of awesome vacation sex never materialised and they were left feeling sexually unsatisfied.

Tech Free

To help couples achieve their desires of awesome summer loving, Durex has suggested that couples go tech free on their holidays to meet their sexpectations. The study found that 57% of the participants felt more turned on if they knew their partner was tech free and that they had their undivided attention.

Tech Free

To emphasise the fact that going tech free is sexy, Durex ran a social experiment where it took couples away on a romantic summer vacation.

Half of the couples had to give up all of their technology (“anything with a plug“) before embarking on this sexy adventure. One of the tech free participants cheekily points out that:

It’s a no-brainer what we’re going to be doing in a room with no distractions

This is compared to a participant who was allowed to have her phone with her who tells her partner who is on his phone that “you’re annoying me“.

Durex asks the question:

Are you more connected to your phone than your partner?
