The 90s was basically made up of extreme pop and cartoon, two of which were Vanilla Ice and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So it would be fitting to have Vanilla Ice invade the TMNT 2 premier would it not? Well he did just that.

During the premier at Madison Square Gardens, NEW YORK, Vanilla Ice appeared very quietly at the back of the room, and instantly broke into song. He performed a song written by him about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

This was to pay homage to the same scene that took place at the end of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze.

He was also not alone when he performed as he brought with him the original Turtles from the 90s film. Performing the song “Ninja Rap”, things got a little awkward, but it was all in good taste for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which hits cinemas this June.

Out Of The Shadows was directed by David Green and other cast members return like Megan Fox as the reporter, April O’Neila and Will Arnett reprises his role as cameraman, Vernon Fenwick.

This time around Leonardo (portrayed by Pete Ploszek), Michelangelo (portrayed by Noel Fisher),Donatello (portrayed by Jeremy Howard) and Raphael (portrayed by Alan Ritchson) are fighting against multiple enemies including Dr. Baxter Stockman, The Foot Clan and The Shredder. Dr. Stockman has also been commissioned to create Bebop and Rocksteady – two evil mutants. All of this needs to be sorted out by these turtles-in-a-half-shell. No wonder they look so super serious in these cool character posters:
