For the second year in a row Bethesda held its own Bethesda E3 showcase where the developer and publisher showed off all the games and content it has planned for the year ahead. While most of the game content revealed we already knew about, it was nice to get some more insight at some of the games. This is what Bethesda had to show us this year:


Quake Champions

Right at the start of the Bethesda E3 showcase, Quake: Champions was revealed in a flashy and intense cinematic trailer. Id Software then took to the stage to shed some light on the trailer. The developer announced that Quake: Champions would be the next entry in the series and will follow the classic arena-based competitive gameplay we all loved from the series past. The game will feature classic arena combat along with different characters and their own special abilities and weapons.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends

We know that Bethesda has been hard at work on its card-based Elder Scrolls game. The studio revealed a brand new story trailer for the game, along with details on the single player campaign. Bethesda announced that the game will be available on PC, as well as iPad and Mac. 

Fallout 4: Nuka World

Bethesda revealed that the studio has been hard at work on more DLC for the game. Contraptions, Vault-Tech and more. These new DLC packs will come with brand new ways to create content for your settlements. Bethesda also teased at a new DLC pack called Nuka World, which could possibly be a new story chapter for the game

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition will be releasing for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The new edition will feature mods, and most of all, a massive overhauled game engine. The engine will allow for spectacular visuals as well game enhancements all-round. The game will also feature all the DLC offered in the main game. Bethesda revealed that the game will be releasing on 28 October 2016.


After years of being missing in action, Arkane Studios finally revealed a Prey reboot. The trailer showed off some great first person action as well as a mysterious world to explore. Although we do not know much about the game, we know that it is based on a futuristic planet where an alien invasion has taken place The player now needs to survive and find out what has happened to the world. The studio revealed that the game will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC next year.

DOOM: Unto the Evil

During the Bethesda E3 showcase it was revealed that DOOM will be getting a ton of free content for Snapmap. A dedicated premium content pack with 3 new maps, a new demon, and a weapon and pickups was also revealed. This pack will be available next month.

The Elder Scrolls Online

Bethesda showed off that almost 7 million players are active on ESO. It was also revealed that the studio has been working on brand new DLC packs, one of which is the Dark Brotherhood DLC which is releasing on 15 June 2016. 

Bethesda VR

Surprisingly enough, Bethesda has been working on its own VR concept using its  Tech 6 engine and all its library of games. DOOM and Fallout 4 being two of the most notable ones. Bethesda will be re-releasing Fallout 4 on the HTC Vive in 2017.

Dishonored 2

During the Bethesda E3 showcase we were treated to gameplay for the first time and it looked stunning. The gameplay demo took us to a brand new location which featured many different looks and feels to it. Arkane Studios showed off the game engine dubbed as the “Void Engine”. The engine allows for the unique look which the studio has mastered in the game. Lighting and sound combined together gives us a unique feel to the game, which immerses us like never before. The game will release on 26 November 2016 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
