We loved Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. We thought it was a testament to great game-design and a true masterpiece. We were not the only ones who loved it as it seems that the game has been selling like hotcakes. Millions of fans all around the world have been clocking in hundreds of hours in the game’s single player and multiplayer modes. How many players exactly? Well, how is close to 3 million for you?
Naughty Dog announced on the PlayStation Blog that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has exceeded 2.7 million units worldwide, making it the fastest-selling PS4 first party title in the PAL region to date. This number includes worldwide sell-through data for both the physical copy of the game, including the special editions and Collector’s Edition, as well as digital sales.
PlayStation congratulated the team on reaching the milestone, and hitting the fastest-selling first party PS4 title to date.
A huge congratulations goes out to Naughty Dog for an incredible feat. The success of the game is a testament to the calibre of the team at Naughty Dog and their unwavering commitment to their fans.
We know there is more to come in the future as a full story-driven DLC is due sometime this year, as well as free DLC packs for multiplayer. With E3 around the corner, we will have to wait and see what Sony and Naughty Dog have in store for the game’s post game content.
