Last weekend we got to drive the Jaguar F-PACE, the all-new SUV from Jaguar.

The Jaguar F-PACE is the company’s first performance SUV and was designed and engineered to combine the agility, responsiveness and refinement that Jaguar cars deliver with unrivalled dynamics and versatility. The Jaguar F-PACE was developed using the company’s Lightweight Aluminium Architecture, which combines a sports car driving experience, all-wheel drive and a spacious interior in a lightweight package.
The Jaguar F-PACE Designer, Ian Callum explains that it was important to create something new, while staying true to the Jaguar design and engineering ethos.
By remaining absolutely true to our design principles the all-new F-Pace is immediately recognisable as a Jaguar. It offers all of the interior space you would expect – and more – but because of our disciplined approach to surfaces, proportions, and purity of line, we have designed what I consider to be the most balanced, most attractive vehicle in its class.
The Jaguar F-PACE is a performance SUV that has versatile dynamics, while still giving you the smooth and sporty drive that Jaguar has delivered for years. The new vehicle is geared up for any terrain and not only looks stunning, but handles like a dream, making you sometimes forget you’re actually driving a high-performance SUV. The vehicle’s versatility makes the Jaguar F-PACE the ideal ride for most people. You can use it to weave through traffic to get to work on time thanks to its insanely powerful engine and engineering, but then take your entire family camping on the toughest terrain.
There a four Jaguar F-PACE modules available in South Africa:
- F-PACE Pure,
- F-PACE R-Sport,
- F-PACE S, and
- F-PACE First Edition.
The different Jaguar F-PACE modules will be available with a range of Jaguar engines, including the 132kW 2.0-litre diesel, the 221kW 3.0-litre diesel, and the 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol, with outputs of either 250kW or 280kW.
