Pokémon Red and Blue and Yellow – Virtual Console

The first ever Pokémon games are playable on Virtual Console on the 3DS and Wii U. This means that you can re-live the classic on modern day hardware. The Pokémon games exact clones of the classic Pokémon games, with classic gameplay, visuals, and Pokémon essence. The Pokémon games are also pretty affordable, and will cost you just over R100.

Pokken Tournament – Wii U

What if Tekken and Pokémon had a love child? Well, it would then be called Pokken Tournament. Pokken Tournament is a re-imagining of the classic Pokémon fighting formula, but with a much faster and intense battle system. Dodge, block, use your ultimate attacks, and even mega evolve into ultimate versions of the Pokémon to take down your foe.

Pokémon Omega Ruby + Pokémon Alpha Sapphire – 3DS

Nintendo remade the best Pokémon games in the series, in our opinion. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is a remake of the classic Ruby and Sapphire games, but made for the Nintendo 3DS. These Pokémon games follow the traditional story of Groudon and Kyrogre, but include some new twists like Mega Evolutions, a Pikachu dress-up mode, and much more.

If you ever player Ruby and Sapphire, then playing through these Pokémon games will bring back so many memories like the Bike path, Muaville City, and all the generation’s best Pokémon.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y

Pokémon X and Y were not only the first Pokémon games on the 3DS, but they were the first step in the direction of having 3D battles with Pokémon. These Pokémon games actually saw the world live and breathe like never before thanks to the power of the Nintendo 3DS. These games also released with one of the best Pokémon generations to date, with Tepig, Snivy, and Oshawatt.

Pokémon GO

If all else fails, then jump onto Pokémon GO. It is the best game mobile game out right now, and we would know, because we have not stopped playing it. Although we are still awaiting a local release date for the game, we are sure you all probably have it downloaded already. If that is the case, put your sneakers on and head out for a walk.
