French designers, Laureen Minet and Kévin Magalhaes have created a Pokemoji keyboard concept idea which we would absolutely love to see materialise into keyboards you’re able to download from an App Store. These two creatives have taken two digital, viral concepts (emoji and Pokémon GO) and have created a mashup that needs to happen asap.
Emojis have come a long way and have grown massively in popularity. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Charlie Sheen, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber have their own emoji keyboards. Even sport star, Usain Bolt, has his own Boltmoji app for fans to celebrate him and have some fun while send texts. An emoji was even 2015’s word of the year, cementing these little pictures into our everyday vocabulary.
Although the French designers have only created the Pokemoji keyboard as a concept for now, we hope to see something like it in the future. With the popularity of Pokémon GO and people’s constant use of emojis, a Pokemoji keyboard is sure to be very popular amongst fans of the new mobile game.
We especially love that the designer created a version of the Pokemoji which could work on smartwatches, like the Apple Watch. It would be cool to be able to quickly reply to a fellow player using your Apple Watch and this cool keyboard concept. You would be able to notify other players of nearby Pokémon to help them or you could use it to boast about your latest difficult Pokémon catch, by sending a Pokemoji. Also, Pokémon are extremely cute, making them ideal for Pokemoji.
