Right now all we care about is hitting the Warp Drive button, and soaring off into space on an intergalactic adventure somewhere we have never been to before. Now as we cannot do it in real life, we will just have to do it some sci-fi games. We blame No Man’s Sky for this!

No Man’s Sky

There is no going back as we entered our spaceship after searching for 2 hours for iron. We finally fixed it and soared up into the sky to a universe of endless discovery. No Man’s Sky is one of the most exciting sci-fi games to ever be released. It takes us on an adventure through the galaxies as every planet, every animal, and every experience has been procedurally created for us.

What this means is that no experience will be like another. Every planet you visit will be unique and every galaxy too. This allows for an experience like nothing we have ever experienced in any of the sci-fi games we’ve played before.

Destiny

With Destiny: Rise of Iron releasing in a few weeks time, it is about time you head into the game to finish off what you still need to do. Those Moment of Triumph rewards are not going to complete themselves, so take advantage of the situation while you can.

Destiny: Rise of Iron will change the way we play the game, with new activities, level cap and more, bringing new content to the game. Why not spend the weekend playing some PvP, or finally getting that flawless emblem in Trials of Osiris? Destiny has cemented itself as one of the best sci-fi games of our time.

Rebel Galaxy

We’re excited that sci-fi games are huge at the moment. Rebel Galaxy is a swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe.

The game sees you as the commander of an immensely powerful star destroyer. You will battle pirates, explore anomalies, befriend aliens, scavenge battle wreckage, mine asteroids, and discover artifacts. Choose your path as a roguish do-gooder, crafty space-trader or power-hungry privateer.

Star Wars: Battlefront

What is a sci-fi games list without Star Wars? Well, Star Wars: Battlefront happens to be on sale this week as part of the PlayStation Winter Sale, so if you are looking for something new to play, then be sure to pick it up.

Star Wars: Battlefront has been created by the team behind games like Battlefield and Mirror’s Edge. DICE and EA Games really did  a great job imagining the Star Wars universe and bringing the intergalactic space fights to life in the best way possible.

If you’re not into sci-fi games, check out our awesome Pokémon GO hub if that’s more your thing.
