If you haven’t watch Netflix’s latest instant hit show, Stranger Things, then what are you actually doing with your life? The new Netflix show is a true tribute to 80s sci-fi horrors and has instantly gained a fierce fan following. These fans are impatient too and can’t wait for season 2 (if there is even going to be one, as Netflix hasn’t officially renewed it). The show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers, spoke to IGN to discuss (amongst other things) the possibility of a Stranger Things video game which could keep impatient fans busy while the second season is being made.

In the interview Matt and Ross Duffer discuss that because children grow so quickly they had to jump a year ahead from season 1 to season 2. Matt Duffer explains that the show was forced to skip a year because the kids changed too quickly to follow a believable timeline.

Yeah, you have to do the Harry Potter thing. You have to jump a year.

This leaves an entire year unaccounted for. Enter a Stranger Things video game, which could be the perfect way to fill in the gaps of the year between season 1 and season 2 of this popular new sci-fi horror TV show.

Even The Duffer Brothers seem to be keen on the possibility of a Stranger Things video game that can fill in the strange story between season 1 and season 2. IGN suggested a comic book, but Ross and Matt Duffer seem more keen on the idea of a Stranger Things video game.

But what I really want is a Stranger Things video game.

Like an 8-bit… These fans, a lot of them have done this 8-bit Stranger Things video game art that’s blowing my mind.

We would love to play a Stranger Things video game with a vintage and creepy twist. Fans have already created an 8-bit remix of the catchy and cool intro to the Netflix show that’s taking the world by storm. The video also gives you a tongue-in-cheek recipe of what Stranger Things is made out of, including 1 Cup E.T., 1 Pound 80s and 1/2 Cup Stephen King. We reckon this could be the perfect intro to a Stranger Things video game.

Drop us a comment and let us know if you think a Stranger Things video game is a cool idea.
