Pokemon GO update version 1.7.0 for iOS and 0.37.0 for Android introduces the anticipated new Pokemon GO Buddy system which was announced a week ago. The new Pokemon GO Buddy system lets Trainers choose a Pokemon and take it for walks. These walks earn you Candies for the Pokemon Buddy you took for a walk. As you know, Candies are used to Evolve Pokemon or are used to Power Up Pokemon.

The new Buddy system is not the only Pokemon GO update the new version of the mobile game brings. The new Pokemon GO update makes it easier for Trainers to select smaller Pokemon on their screens, as with the older version it was sometimes difficult to select a small Pokemon on your screen to catch. Other fixes made by this new Pokemon GO update include fixing an Egg hatching animation bug and improved performance reliability when a device switches networks. Minor text fixes are also introduced.

Another exciting new Pokemon GO update contained in this new version includes support for Pokemon GO Plus. Niantic Inc. took the Apple Event as the opportunity to confirm that the Pokemon GO Plus, which is a wearable wrist accessory for the mobile game, will be available in most countries from 16 September 2016. The Pokemon GO Plus is expected to arrive in South Africa by the end of September 2016. The company also announced that Pokemon GO will be heading to the Apple Watch by the end of 2016, which is much anticipated new Pokemon GO update.
