The first of two DLC packs has released for Dark Souls 3, and we thought we would put a guide together on some of the weapons you will find just in the DLC.

The Valorheart is a powerful weapon you can get from the Champion Gravetender and Gravetender Greatwolf boss fight in Dark Souls 3. It has a strong reinforcement table, as it hits 210 standard damage on +5. It requires Twinkling Titanite to upgrade and scales on strength and dexterity. The weapon has an auto-block ability that blocks any attack while you are executing the first strike of the weapon. Its jumping attack is also very fast with short recovery frames, making it a must have for those who like to go that attack route.
Rose of Ariandel
The Rose of Ariandel is a soul weapon that can be obtained by Soul Transposition of the Soul of Sister Friede in Dark Souls 3. The weapon has an awakening skill that sees you inflict damage to yourself to increase miracle strength by 20% for 2 minutes. The weapon scales to faith, as well as requires Titanite Scales, and a Titanite Slab to upgrade fully.
Friede’s Great Scythe
This powerful weapon in Dark Souls 3 has great damage, as well as a magic attack that sees you conjure a magic blade in your second hand. This, in theory, gives you duel wielded weapons, of which you can leap forward and attack with a standard attack, or slam down the scythe and coat the ground in front of you with frost.
There are only a few weapons in the new Dark Souls 3 DLC that are able to be infused, one of these is the Crow Quills. This weapon has a Quill Dart skill that lets you throw four thick-edged blades from your left hand when this is equipped. Although the attack does very little damage, it is meant for a distraction in duels. You can pick this weapon up just after the Corvian Settlement, after you cross the small bridge and head left. The weapon has high Raw +10 damage as it is able to reach 245, but at the cost of scaling.
Pyromancer’s Parting Flame
If you enjoy tossing flames at enemies in Dark Souls 3, then the Pyromancer’s Parting Flame is the item you have been waiting for. It has an improved buff that adds an extra burst of fire damage to spells and has the ability to siphon echos from dead enemies to build up a charge and heal your health as if you used an estus flask charge. The flame can be found in a crypt which is accessed through the Ariandel Chapel bonfire in Dark Souls 3. Head down the crypt to find the flame on a corpse.
Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
