We obviously love the name of the new Pixel phone, but it has a ton of cool other features. Here’s everything we learned about Google’s Pixel phone:

More Than One Pixel Phone

As expected, Google revealed that the new Pixel phone will come in two sizes: the Pixel and the Pixel XL.

As the name suggests, the Pixel XL will be a larger version of the Pixel phone, shipping with a 5.5″ display. The standard Pixel phone has a 5″ display. Both of the new smartphones from Google are able to support 4K content and the Pixel XL has a 1440×2560 resolution display and the Pixel phone has a 1920×1080 resolution.

The devices will be available in three, specific colours: Quite Black, Very Silver, or Really Blue.

Fantastic Photography

Google focussed heavily on the camera specs for the new Pixel phone and Pixel XL. The tech giant claimed that the cameras on the Pixel phones earned an 89 DXO Mark Mobile rating, which is the highest of any mobile phone, ever.

The Pixel phone has a 12.3 MP rear-camera. All of your great shots automatically sync to Google Photos, meaning you’ll never run out of space on the Pixel phone.

The most exciting part about the new Pixel phone is the fact that the company has developed it to be made for mobile virtual reality.

The company has released its own VR headset called the Daydream View, which is intended to be used seamlessly with the Pixel phone. The company has designed the headset to be used instantly with the newly released Pixel phone without hectic setup requirements.
