Kodak, the legendary camera maker, has struggled to keep up with digital times. Now the company hopes to move out of the dark room and into the digital age with its Kodak smartphone called the Kodak Ektra.
A smile flickering in a crowd. A midnight journey home. A splinter of light through the curtains. Stories are made in a moment.
Introducing Kodak’s professional-quality, photography-first smartphone.
The new Kodak smartphone is obviously all about taking photos and boasts a massive 21MP camera. That’s nearly double the smartphone camera capabilities of the iPhone 7 which has a 12 megapixel rear camera. The Kodak smartphone also has an impressive 13MP selfie camera, compared to the iPhone 7 Plus‘s which is only 7MP. You’re able to record 4K videos on the new Kodak smartphone, making it an all-around photography-first smartphone.
A unique hybrid of photography innovation and DSLR functionality, KODAK EKTRA puts in-the-moment creative control at your fingertips.
On top of the Kodak smartphone camera capabilities, the device also boasts impressive photo editing software.
All of the beautiful photos and videos taken with the new Kodak smartphone can be viewed on a 5″ full HD display. The Ektra has a 3000 mAh built-in battery. Kodak hasn’t revealed how much battery life you’ll be able to get from a single charge.
The Kodak smartphone will run on Android and will ship with a Helio X-20 Decacore processor. It has 32GM of RAM and 32GB expandable memory.
The retro body of the Kodak smartphone is sure to appeal to those people feeling nostalgic about the film photography days. The Kodak smartphone doesn’t merely look retro cool, but feels the part too with it sporting a physical camera button and spinnable f/2.0 aperture lens.
