The wait is finally over – it does feel longer around this time – and we have the first The Last Jedi teaser trailer.
In the latest The Last Jedi teaser trailer we get a look at what Rey (portrayed by Daisy Ridley) and the legendary Luke Skywalker (reprised by Mark Hamil) are doing after the mysterious and exciting ending to The Force Awakens. As you may remember – SPOILER ALERT – at the end of The Force Awakens we see Rey present Luke with his old lightsaber, in a moment which looks like Rey asking Luke to train her in the ways of the Force.
The Last Jedi teaser trailer comes straight from the Star Wars Celebration currently underway in Orange County, LA.
In this first The Last Jedi we’re shown a quick glimpse of the late and great Carrie Fisher in her iconic portrayal as Princess/General Leia Organa. We hope to learn more about the connection she shares with her twin brother Luke and her role in the fight to find balance between good and evil. Her daughter, Billie Lourd, joined Mark Hamil, Harrison Ford, Hayden Christensen, and more Star Wars veterans to celebrate 40 years of this awesome franchise. Billie Lourd debut a beautiful tribute to her mother who sadly passed away in December 2016.
We’re also shown fan favourites Finn (portrayed by John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (portrayed by Oscar Isaac) in this new The Last Jedi teaser trailer. Everyone’s favourite new droid, BB-8, also appears briefly in this new The Last Jedi teaser trailer.
Along with the release of a brand new The Last Jedi teaser trailer we also got to see a first poster for the much-anticipated new Star Wars movie in the Skywalker storyline.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set for debut on 15 December 2017 and was directed by Rian Johnson.
