The Disneyland Parks have been bringing happiness to people around the world since the Disney Parks started opening magical gates back in the late 1950s.
Here are all the Disneyland Parks you can visit around the world.
Disneyland Resort – California, USA
Officially known as Disneyland Resort, it is the first of the Disneyland Parks and first started operating in 1955. There are two Disneyland Parks at this amazing Anaheim, California, USA destination – Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. What makes this one of the most magical of the Disneyland Parks, is the fact that it was the only one to be built under the direct supervision of the legendary Walt Disney.
Walt Disney World Resort – Florida, USA
The biggest of the Disneyland Parks, Walt Disney World Resort first started operating in 1971. There are four Disneyland Parks located at Walt Disney World Resort, which is located in Lake Beuna Vista, Florida, USA:
- Magic Kingdom – As the first of the four Disneyland Parks to open at the Florida Resort, Magic Kingdom’s layout is based on the original park in California.
- Epcot – Originally opened in 1982, the Epcot is dedicated to celebrating humanity’s achievements in technological innovation and international culture.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios – This park is dedicated to everything in show business, including TV, movies, and music from the golden days of Hollywood spanning from the 1930s to the 1940s.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom – The last of the four Disneyland Parks at Walt Disney World Resort is dedicated entirely to the natural environment and to one of Walt Dinsey’s passions – conservation.
Tokyo Disney Resort – Tokyo, Japan
The first Disney park to be located outside of the USA, the Tokyo Disney Resort started as one park in 1983 but has transformed into two since then. The two Disneyland Parks located at Tokyo Disney Resort is the original Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, featuring everything nautical.
Disneyland Paris – Paris, France
As the only Disneyland in Europe, Disneyland Paris is a real gem. With its two Disneyland Parks – Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park – Disneyland Paris is a great stop if you’re visiting the City of Love. The original park opened in 1992 and its currently celebrating 25 years of happiness.
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort – Lantau Island, Hong Kong
This Resort is the second Disneyland to open in Asia, and more than 20 years later too. The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort opened in 2005 and only has one park, with plans on extending the park being placed on hold due to disappointing attendance and then later picked up again.
Shanghai Disneyland Resort – Shanghai Shi, China
Opening its gates in 2016, makes the Shanghai Disneyland Resort the newest of the Disneyland Parks to bring some happiness to the world. The park currently features only one park, but it has plans on extending in the future.
