It’s been so long for Star Wars fans to wait to get the first full length The Last Jedi trailer, but the wait is finally over. During the famous New York Comic Con, which is currently happening in the Big Apple, the first The Last Jedi trailer was finally released into the world.
During the 2min. 34 sec. The Last Jedi trailer we’re shown that Rey (portrayed by Daisy Ridley), who was introduced in The Force Awakens, is receiving the training which we saw she sought from Luke Skywalker (reprised by Mark Hamil). Luke ominously proclaims that he has only seen Force strength like this “once before“. He goes on to state that “it didn’t scare me enough then; it does now” before looking wild and turning his back on whoever he is talking to. The Last Jedi trailer also reveals that Kylo Ren (portrayed by Adam Driver), is keen on letting “the past die” or even killing it himself. We’re shown that he has a possible choice of killing his mother, General Leia Organa (reprived by the late and great Carrie Fisher). Towards the end of The Last Jedi trailer, we see Stoke ordering someone (possibly Kylo Ren) to fulfill their destiny. The Last Jedi trailer ends of with Rey seemingly telling Kylo Ren that she needs someone to show her, her “place in all of this“, with Kylo Ren shown extending a helping hand possibly towards her.
Along with the new The Last Jedi trailer, a new theatrical poster was also revealed by the director of this Star Wars installment, Rian Johnson.
The powerful image features a prominent Luke Skywalker above Rey, Finn (portrayed by John Boyega), Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), General Leia Organa, and more of the film’s heroes and villains, with a squad of Resistance ski speeders on a collision course with First Order walkers below.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in cinemas on 15 December 2017.
