Star Wars: Battlefront II is the much-anticipated sequel to the 2015 reboot of the Battlefront series.
The build-up to this game has been turbulent with a lot of negativity around the micro-transactions implemented in the game, which for the moment have been solved by EA entirely removing micro-transactions from the game. Despite all this Star Wars Battlefront II looks like an exciting game to play. We enjoyed our time with the beta and have put together some reasons why we think this game is worth your time.
Lots of Content
Although many speculated that the vast content in Battlefront II might be unattainable by the average, casual gamer, the creators ensured players that they endure to make the progression of the game a fun and achievable experience. The introduction of a full story mode is a welcome change and something that was a glaring omission in the first game.
There is a lot for players to do in Battlefront II, making it worth the investment of money and time.
Players in Battlefront II are able to play with some of their favourite characters from the Star Wars franchise. If you’ve ever dreamed of playing as one of your favourite Star Wars characters, then you’ll love the options of heroes to choose from in Battlefront II as well as the beautiful visual style. Undoubtedly a massive plus for Star Wars fans.
Here are some of the most famous Star Wars heroes you can choose to play with in Battlefront II:
- Anakin/Darth Vader;
- Luke Skywalker;
- Princess Leia;
- Han Solo;
- Boba Fett;
- Kylo Ren;
- Count Dooku.
However, some of the characters need to be unlocked, and after some controversy, the creators of Battlefront II have temporarily suspended the loot box system by disabling in-game purchases.
A special mention must be made to voice and motion capture actor, Janina Gavankar who portrays the role of the main character, Iden Versio, in the single-player mode. She is a massive gaming and Star Wars fan and you can see the passion coming through.
Great Single-Player Story Mode
Star Wars fans will love the story in single-player mode. Battlefront II follows the story of Iden Versio, an Imperial commander in the Inferno Squad. As any good Star Wars story, the single-player mode in Battlefront II basically involves Iden’s choice between right and wrong, good and evil, the Light Side and the Dark Side. Basically more awesome Star Wars goodness.
