People buy cars for different reasons. Some want fast cars, others want cars that are high-tech and some want expensive cars to invest their money in.
These are the most expensive cars you could probably never afford.
NOTE: We’ve only added newer production cars to this list and it doesn’t include classic cars. We’ve also tried to add different car manufacturers to the list, to ensure a wider variety.
2017 Bugatti Chiron – $2.6 million (about R34 million)
Not only is it one of the most expensive cars in the world, the 2017 Bugatti Chiron is also one of the fastest cars currently on the market.
Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio – $3 million (about R39 million)
Coming in at a cool $3 million price tag, the Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio is the ultimate car for any Ferrari fan or Motorhead in general. Unfortunately, chances are slim you will ever own one of these expensive cars. Not only is it probably out of your price range (for cars for the rest of your life), but only six of these were ever created and it was available for purchase by invite only.
Lamborghini Veneno – $4.5 million (about R59 million)
It is one of the most exclusive and expensive cars in the world. Only nine have been made and sold to very wealthy owners.
Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita – $4.8 million (about R63 million)
You have to be as rich as boxing champion Floyd Mayweather if you want to own one of these expensive cars. The CCXR Trevita is a limited edition with unique, white carbon fibre body work. Only two of these expensive cars were produced in 2009.
Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero – $8 million (about R104 million)
It doesn’t get more expensive than the Maybach Exelero. It was built way back in 2004 and only one of these expensive cars have ever been produced. You can see this beautiful car below where it was featured in Jay-Z’s 2009 Lost One music video.
