The Punisher

Based on the Marvel comic book series of the same name, The Punisher follows the story of Frank Castle who uses lethal methods to fight crime as the infamous “Punisher”. What begins as an act of revenge, Frank Castle tracks down the people responsible for the death of his family, however, The Punisher discovers an even bigger conspiracy going on that not only includes his late family but the lives of many hundreds of people. The show revolves around Frank’s journey through is vigilante career.

Iron Fist

Set in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe as everything else on this list, Iron Fist stars Danny Rand, a martial arts expert with the superhero power to call upon the power of Iron Fist. Danny was presumed dead for 15 years but returned to New York City to find a threat emerging. The power of Iron Fist allows Danny to summon a mystical force by focussing his Chi to defeat his foes. The TV loops into the same comic book series as well as the Heroes for Hire series that includes Luke Cage.

Luke Cage

Speaking of Luke Cage. Now on its second season, the show is stronger than ever and follows the story of Luke, a man with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin that tries to keep up appearances with his family and friends while dealing with being the most famous man in Harlem. Being famous has its downfalls though as even his enemies want a piece of him. The show is currently one of the highest-rated Marvel Netflix series.

Jessica Jones

After a very short-lived superhero career, Jessica Jones settles down to open a detective agency where she handles supernatural investigations in New York City. Things turn sour after she meets Killgrave, a life-long nemesis who has always had power over her and her mind. She struggles to keep things flowing in her work while discovering just what Killgrave is up to.

Daredevil

Daredevil is one of the first Marvel shows to debut on Netflix and follows the story of Matt Murdock also known as Daredevil who is a blind lawyer during the day and a vigilante at night. Being blind has heightened his senses to allow him to fight crimes in the darkness of New York City. His later episodes in the show see him meet up with Punisher and Elektra.

The Defenders

Marvel’s The Defenders is the crossover Netflix series that sees all the superheroes from the shows collide in one stunning mashup. It stars Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. The series is set after the second season of Daredevil where the team of New York vigilantes join forces to fight The Hand, an enemy they all have in common.
