Mortal Kombat 11 is real and the hype for the game is building as we learn more about the goriest and bloodiest entry in the series to date. Along with new fatalities and gameplay mechanics, will also have a selection of new fighters but the Mortal Kombat 11 guest characters are our biggest guess right now. These fighters are taken from other popular horror and comic book franchises and are great fits for the series.
These are our Mortal Kombat 11 guest characters we want in the next installment.
IT (IT 2017)
Mortal Kombat X featured a selection of four DLC characters that revolved around highly acclaimed horror films. Alien, Michael Myers, Leatherface, and Jason all joined the roster and everyone loved them. Their fighting styles stayed true to the Mortal Kombat series and they felt like they just belonged in the game from the start.
After the huge success of IT in 2017, there is no doubt place for Steven King’s crazy Pennywise The Clown in Mortal Kombat 11. He is gruesome, scary – what more do you want from Mortal Kombat 11 guest characters? We can just picture his dozen row of teeth popping out of his face as he bites off a fighter’s head.
Spawn (Spawn Comic Series)
Spawn is a popular anti-hero created by Todd McFarlane and he is a household name in the comic book world. This dark and sinister character is the complete opposite of an Avenger and instead of saving the world, he feeds on the souls of the innocent and thrives in the dark.
Spawn’s unique look and appearance fits right into the Mortal Kombat series and we feel like he would make one of the best Mortal Kombat 11 guest characters. Spawn is well-equipped with a range of weaponry from guns to swords which will give him enough variety in the game to deliver a balanced fighting experience. Not to mention his power of antimatter which is as Mortal Kombat as you could get.
DOOM Guy (DOOM)
DOOM’s main playable character may change through the game’s history but one thing has always remained the same – he is a badass killer. The DOOM Guy is no doubt one demon-kicking-badass and he would fit right into the Mortal Kombat roster especially since he has discovered a lot more weaponry since his original appearance back in the nineties.
The upcoming DOOM Eternal even hinted at the possibility of wielding a sword which finally adds a new melee weapon to the series after relying on his fists for so long. Don’t get us wrong, running around and punching demons into piles of flesh was fun, be we can’t wait to slice them up too. Now if only we could do the same for those Mortal Kombat fighters.
Talion (Middle-earth: Shadow of War)
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is nor your average Lord of the Rings game. It has darker undertones with a lot more gore. Talion, the game’s main character is not afraid to slice up the demons of Middle-earth in any way possible.
His versatile fighting style and great use of weaponry would be the perfect fit for the game. We can just see him destroying his competition as he possesses them and forces them to take their own life.
Deadpool (Marvel Comic Series)
This anti-hero from the Marvel universe is everything Spider-Man is not. His recent films clearly showed that he does not cater for those young minded individuals. Instead, Deadpool offers a darker and gorier take on the Marvel series and his fighting style is, well, pretty lethal.
Deadpool is not afraid to literally chop up his enemies as he tries to get his way and his infamous dual pistols and sword make for the perfect fighting combination for Mortal Kombat 11. His fatalities would kick ass and his play style would be epic as he throws a few jokes here and there and then shoves his sword down your spine. Deadpool in MK11 needs to happen.. please
Ghost Face (Scream)
Ghost Face may seem a little toned down compared to the other horror characters on this list but we do feel like he is underappreciated. He is the OG slasher and while he just wields a petty knife, that knife has taken a few dozen lives. Ghost Face is known for his appearance in the Scream series and his iconic “shocked ghost mask” is well-known across the world.
We picture him being an agile fighter with some fast moves and slashes here and there. He could also teleport across the arena because he is constantly going missing in the movies.
Mortal Kombat 11 is set for release on Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC on 23 April 2019.
