Consumer Reports released a list of the most reliable cars that you should consider if you’re keen on keeping yourself and your family safe on the ever chaotic roads. The data is collected from 470 000 determine which are the most reliable cars out there.

Here is the list of the most reliable cars currently available to more safety conscious consumers

10 Mazda CX-5;

9 Lexus NX;

8 Honda Fit;

7 Kia Sedona;

6 Mazda 6;

5 Toyota Prius;

4 Subaru Crosstrek;

3 Toyota Prius Prime;

2 Lincoln Continental; and

1 Toyota Prius C.

Toyota obviously makes really reliable cars, as it occupies not only the top spot, but has three cars in total in the top 10. The Toyota Prius, the Toyota Prius Prime and the Toyota Prius C (which too the top spot) are all considered to be very reliable cars according to the Consumer Reports.

Mazda is another car manufacturer that has more than one model of car on the top 10 of reliable cars. The Mazda CX-5 starts off the list, with the Mazda 6 coincidently taking the sixth spot on the list of the most reliable cars.

There are also cars out there that aren’t the most reliable to drive around.

We study 17 trouble areas, from nuisances – such as squeaky brakes and broken interior trim – to major bummers, like out-of-warranty transmission repairs or trouble with four-wheel-drive systems.

Hare are the 10 least reliable cars to avoid when you’re getting your next set of wheels.

10 Volkswagen Atlas;

9 Cadillac CTS;

8 Alfa Romeo Giulia;

7 Kia Cadenza;

6 Cadillac Escalade;

5 Cadillac CT6;

4 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD;

3 Tesla Model X;

2 Buick Enclave; and

1 Jaguar F-Pace.

We driven the F-Pace before, so it’s kind of disappointing that it’s considered as the least reliable car out there. Tesla’s Model X also made it onto the list, which also kind of sucks. But it sucks the most for Cadillac, which had three cars on the least reliable cars list. The Cadillac CTS, the Cadillac Escalade, and Cadillac CT6 are all considered not very reliable by Consumer Reports.
