The founder and CEO of Facebook’s podcast on Spotify will be focused on discussing the future of tech and society.

Called Tech & Society with Mark Zuckerberg, the podcast on Spotify already has two episodes. The first episode, which was posted on 23 April is called Tech and Law with Harvard Professor Jonathan Zittrain, which is 104:11 minutes long. The second episode was posted on 24 April and is called Tech and journalism with Mathias Döpfner of Axel Springer and is at least only 61:24 minutes long. However, both these episodes are actually reruns, and not fresh content created specifically for the Mark Zuckerberg podcast. So it will be interesting to see if the podcast from the CEO of Facebook will all be rehashed content previous created or will content be created specifically for the podcast.

It seems like most episodes will have the theme of technology and how it is integrated into our lives, how it affects key areas of today’s world and society in general. It also looks like the Mark Zuckerberg podcast will mostly feature guests to discuss their areas of expertise.

The Mark Zuckerberg podcast comes at a time where Facebook is more often being called to take responsibility for its social, political, cultural, and economic influence on the world. It could be a front for Facebook to seem more socially conscious and more in tune with societal needs than promoting Facebook’s business interests.
