Huawei has announced that its after just 5 days, P30 Pro sales saw a massive 244% increase when compared to the number of Huawei P20 Pro devices sold during its launch week in mid-2018. Sales of the Huawei P30 show a 44% increase in the number of Huawei P20 smartphones sold during its first week of sales.

The Huawei P30 Pro is the world’s first smartphone with a Leica quad camera and features additional innovations in photography and videography. The new smartphone from Huawei is currently sitting on top of the DxOMark leaderboard with a total score of 112, making it the first device to break the 110 rating threshold. Huawei also takes joint second place on the DxOMark leaderboard (109) with its Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei Mate 20 Pro, along with Samsung’s Galaxy S10 Plus. Other awesome features on the new devices from Huawei are also likely the reason why the P30 and P30 Pro sales figures are looking so strong in South Africa.
Huawei’s share of the South African smartphone market has grown considerably over the past two years. According to GfK, Huawei moved from the number 3 spot in 2017 to number 2 in 2018. Globally, Huawei’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) – which measures the willingness of customers to recommend a company’s products – significantly improved in 2018 when the company moved up to second place, replacing Samsung.
With the P30 Pro sales looking so strong, it might become the most popular Huawei device in the South African mobile market to date. The new P30 and P30 Pro sales figures are proving that the smartphone maker is making a serious mark on the mobile market.
