Now, if you want to carry through your Pokemon GO trainer name to the upcoming game based on the magical world created by JK Rowling, then there’s an easy way to do just that. But you’re only able to do this for a limited time – until 30 April 2019.

Ingress Agents and Pokémon GO Trainers will have the opportunity to reserve their Agent Name or Trainer Nickname to use in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, part of the Portkey Games label, is being co-developed with our partners at WB Games.

You can also use your Agent Name in Ingress – the AR, location-based mobile game focused on mysteries which allows you to interact with real-world objects.

Here’s How To Reserve Your Pokemon GO Trainer Name

(1) Go to http://nianticlabs.com/hpwu-codenamereservation.

(2) Click on Use my Pokémon GO Trainer Name. You’ll be asked to log in to your Pokémon GO account using Google, Facebook, or Niantic Kids. If you have a Pokémon Trainer Club account, you can link to your Facebook or Google account in order to reserve your Code Name in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Learn more here.

(3) You’ll be able to reserve your current Pokémon GO Trainer Name in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, if it’s available.

Note: Your Trainer Nickname may overlap with someone else’s Agent Name in Ingress Prime. In this scenario, reservations will be first come, first served.

To clarify, this is not an option to select an entirely new Code Name, but rather to secure your existing username.

If you have the same username on both your Pokémon GO and Ingress account, you only need to reserve your Code Name once.
