He always seems to comes back, as promised. The 6th instalment of Terminator, Terminator: Dark Fate has received a release date and new photos show Arnold Schwarzenegger return as T-800. Terminator 6 also sees the return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor.
Tim Miller is directing Terminator 6, which we now know will be released on 01 November 2019, with James Cameron producing the movie. Along with revealing the release date, we also got confirmation that two of the Terminator franchise’s most beloved (and badass) characters will be returning, with the original stars reprising their roles. We also got a look at what everyone’s look will be like in Terminator 6, with photos being revealed during a conference at CinemaCon which took place in Las Vegas from 1 to 4 April 2019. Have a look at the photos below, which features other cast members Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta.
Linda Hamilton didn’t hold back her harsh criticisms for the last three Terminator movies, calling them “forgettable”. These were Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Salvation, and Terminator: Genisys. She first portrayed the role of Sarah Connor in 1984’s The Terminator and reprised her role for the 1991 sequel, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. She was hesitant to reprise her role in Terminator 6 and said she will definitely not be doing another movie in the franchise.
I’m going to fake my own death so I don’t have to do another one.
The official plot for the Terminator: Dark Fate also reveals that this next Terminator movie will follow on the events of Terminator 2: Judgement day, skipping those 3 “forgettable” ones that Linda Hamilton had a dig at.
You start something and you’re invested in the franchise, but somehow the characters that you care about weren’t there. Too many people, too many story points. So I think we’ve done a good job of narrowing down the focus again so it will echo the first two films.
Are you keen for this upcoming Terminator movie that’s slated for release on 01 November 2019?
