Duran Duran pull out of SA tour

With only one week to go, Duran Duran have regretfully had to pull out of their upcoming South African tour dates (which were slated to take place from 7 to 12 December) because the show promoter defaulted on the contract, leaving the band members with no other option but to cancel the shows.

Unlike their customary one-take videos, OK Go has come out with this video: a stop-motion animation with all the images being burned on bread. Apparently.
Johnny Cash Project: Awesome crowdsourcing campaign

The Johnny Cash Project is a collective music video, fashioned from drawings done by users from across the web. The site features a drawing tool, which allows you illustrate a frame from the video. These images weave together to create an ever-changing work of art.
Massive Attack promise new material

Massive Attack are planning to “randomly” release new EPs in 2011. The UK dance group took seven years to bring out their last album ‘Heligoland’ earlier this year, but are keen to follow it up with more new material - which they are planning to release “spontaneously”.

Radiohead approves fan content

Fans used Flip cams to record a Radiohead gig in August 2009 in Prague. Radiohead got wind of this and approved the DIY film and even provided them with the soundboard recordings of the set. You can actually go out and download the footage, titled ‘Prague DVD’, for free.
Nokia launches Ovi Music - Now DRM free

Nokia have now announced that the Nokia Music Store is now the Ovi Music Store. However the big news here is that Nokia has done away with their music copyright system - DRM, and added some great new features.
